Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson attend a special screening of Singh is Bliing in Mumbai

GS Bawa, Chairman of Bawa Group of Hotels, nominated member of Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) Maharashtra and Chairman of Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Matunga, held a special screening of Akshay Kumar's Singh is Bliing on Thursday, October 1, at a theatre in Juhu.

The cast and crew of the movie including Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Kay Kay Menon, Prabhudheva and others were present on the occasion. Prominent dignitaries included HE Kaptan Singh Solanki (Governor of Punjab and prominent leader of Shiromani Akali Dal, Punjab), Ushpal Singh, Ashish Shelar, Charan Singh Sapra, Pahlaj Nihalani, Gurpreet Kaur Chadha, Warvam Singh, Bhupinder Singh Minhas, Surjeet Singh, Surinder Singh Bright, Kripashankar Singh, Principal Kiran Mangaonkar and all managing committee members of Guru Nanak Khalsa College.

GS Bawa's children Kiran Bawa, Karan Bawa and Vikram Bawa ensured that the event was a grand success and looked after the guests. Other celebrities who were seen enjoying the movie were model Sandhya Shetty, Arjun Punj, Puneet Issar, Manmeet of Meet Bros, Kishwar Merchant, Upen Patel, Karishma Tanna, comedian Guggi, Prem Chopra, Karanvir Bohra and Teejay Sidhu.

A langar was organised for the 4,500 guests and a turban expert helped them wear turbans to get the feel of the characters in the film. GS Bawa said, "We want to celebrate the movie, which depicts the Sikh community in all its splendour." Akshay Kumar said, "We are grateful to SGPC and GS Bawa for going out of their way and extending all possible support for our film. This movie brings out the joie de vivre of Sikhs who are larger than life and believe in celebrating and living life king size."
